Scholarships

Planning for college is an exciting, and often overwhelming, time (see Indiana College Cost Estimator).  The Hamilton Southeastern Schools Foundation (HSSF) can help!  HSSF typically awards over 150 scholarships each year to Fishers High School and Hamilton Southeastern High School seniors.  That represents more than 10% of the graduating class!   To date, the Foundation has invested over $700,000 to aid our students in pursuing their higher education and career goals.

HSSF administered scholarships range from $200 – $14,000 and are made possible by ordinary individuals, families, and business exhibiting extraordinary generosity.  In a climate of soaring higher education costs, every scholarship dollar counts for local families and serves as a message that the Fishers Community stands behind our students!   If you are interested in creating a scholarship, please find additional information here.

Thanks to a generous sponsorship from the Fishers Rotary Club, the Hamilton Southeastern Schools Foundation along with both local high schools are proud to offer an online Uniform Application for Community Scholarships (UACS).  This means a single application will allow a students to apply to any or all of the HSSF administered scholarships and most community based scholarships for which s/he qualify.  Although this “smart” platform will remember contact information and details related to employment, extra-curricular activity, and volunteerism, students must remember to submit all required documents for each scholarship.  Click here for multiple scholarship opportunities!

Follow this link to access the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  FAFSA encourages students to check with the college(s) you are interested in attending.  You may also want to ask your college about its definition of an application deadline – whether it is the date the college receives your FAFSA, or the date your FAFSA is processed.

Student athletes are encouraged to confirm scholarship eligibility with NCAA requirements.

NOTE: HSSF is not responsible for changing or inaccurate FAFSA or scholarship deadlines or links.  Please confirm information  yourself.   While HSSF administers many scholarships, donors may choose to alter the number of or amount of award.  In rare events a donor may choose not to award a scholarship in any given year.
